- General competency and specialization
During the first two years, young associates are generally not assigned to a particular department. Our objective is to allow them to participate in different fields of law before determining the department of their choice. Their specialization begins in the third year.
Throughout the career of our associates, we ensure the development of their capabilities by placing a high value on continuing education and organizing training sessions, both internally and through specialized agencies, most notably for foreign languages.
- Team synergy and mobility
Specialization does not mean becoming cloistered in a particular area of law. That’s why we vigorously encourage the creation of multidisciplinary teams, be they created specially in order to respond to the needs of a client within the framework of a complex operation, or permanently created for a need within a particular field. We also seek to encourage the dispatch of our French associates from our four offices and abroad, via the international Meritas network to which we belong.
Once a year, each associate meets with one or several partners in order to discuss the work he or she has accomplished, as well as his or her efforts and perspectives on development. |
