Our international experience has strengthened over many years through our commitment as an active member of Meritas, the international network of law firms.

Meritas gathers nearly 170 law firms selected in more than 60 countries. The firms cooperate within the framework of a common charter intended to ensure that clients are provided with the best legal service anywhere in the world, in terms of expertise and know-how, time management and coordination of cross-border matters.

We participate in the network's activity because we acknowledge the evolution of our profession and, in particular, the ever-increasing globalization of litigation and legal advice.

Each member firm of the network brings its own expertise and knowledge, based on its practice of law in its own country. This added value is then shared on a regular basis during regional, continental and world meetings of Meritas.

Our active participation with Meritas was recently  rewarded with the election of partner Jean-Paul Bignon in July 2008, as the chair of the Meritas board of Directors for a duration of 2 years as from April 2009.

Thanks to our cooperation with our foreign counterparts, we are able to provide clients with the expertise and knowledge of outside specialists with respect to legal, labor and tax issues that may affect their international development.

Our cultural diversity is also visible in the multiplicity of profiles that compose our various teams. More that ten nationalities work together every day at Bignon Lebray, and twelve different languages are spoken within our firm. The majority of our associates were trained or educated abroad and, accordingly, are characterized by wide-ranging skillfulness and open-mindedness.
