Focus on the recent call for tenders for wind farm projects in French overseas territories and Corsica

The French Government has just launched a tender to select onshore wind farm projects in French overseas territories and in Corsica, for a total maximum capacity of 95 MW.
This call for tenders provides for potentially more favorable power purchase conditions than that contained in the current regulation. The selection criteria put an emphasis not only on the feed-in tariff proposed by the bidders, but also on citizens’ and local authorities’ acceptance and production guarantee mechanisms, thus encouraging technological innovation.
