Accusations against the French Football Federation

The French Football Federation (FFF) allegedly covered up cases of sexual abuse and brutal management for several decades.

According to the revelations in the magazine So Foot and the investigation of the independent journalist Romain Molina, the president of the FFF, Noël le Graët may be guilty of inappropriate behaviour towards several employees of the FFF.

The case of his general manager, Florence Hardouin, is more unclear for the moment. She is said to have been quite aggressive in her management of employees in order to establish her authority.

Other employees are also mentioned in Romain Molina’s investigation. Some of them could have behaved inappropriately towards French players, including minors.

As a result, the FFF is the target of an audit commissioned by the French Ministry of Sports and conducted by the General Inspectorate of Education, Sport and Research (IGESR). The report should be submitted after the next World Cup, which starts on 20th November 2022 in Qatar. In any case, the FFF has formally denied these accusations and filed a complaint for defamation against the magazine So Foot.
