BIGNON LEBRAY has advised LightOn in raising 2.9 M € in capital
BIGNON LEBRAY advised the historic shareholders of LightOn, an artificial intelligence start-up, in raising 2.9 M € with inter alia Quantonation and Anorak, two “deep tech” venture capital funds.
As part of this transaction, Edouard Waels (partner of the Mergers and Acquisitions Department, Corporate Law and Private Equity) and Fanny Esnée (lawyer, Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Law and Private Equity) provided their expertise and advice to LightOn, the start-up company and its historical shareholders.
This raise of capital will enable LightOn to develop a new computing paradigm for artificial intelligence.
LightOn is developing breakthrough technology, using optics, to make Artificial Intelligence calculations. Based on cutting-edge research in information science and photonics, LightOn’s devices make Artificial Intelligence calculations more efficient in both energy and speed.
The technology, under exclusive license from PSL University, was initially developed in the laboratories of ENS and ESPCI in Paris.
