BIGNON LEBRAY reinforces its tax department by welcoming Pierre-Emmanuel Scherrer as Of Counsel in its office of Lyon.
Pierre-Emmanuel Scherrer joins BIGNON LEBRAY’s Lyon office to develop the firm’s tax offering in regard to long term financing transactions, international operations and property tax engineering.
He has specifically developed an expertise in the following areas:
– Structuring of domestic and international transactions (securities transactions, asset deals, external growth, monetization of real estate assets)
– Capital operations (mergers, capital development, issuance of composite securities, group restructuring)
– Support for French companies abroad (transfer pricing, optimization of intra-group flows, holding plans, optimization of intangible assets taxation, taxation of permanent establishments, etc.)
The tax team in the Lyon office is headed by Philippe Woerner. It works closely with the corporate law department to offer practical solutions to its clients, which are tailored to their needs.

Pierre-Emmanuel Scherrer began his career as a tax lawyer in 1998 at Veil Jourde in Paris, then joined the US firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in 2006. In 2009, he joined Fidal where he practiced until 2017.
Pierre-Emmanuel is a graduate of HEC (1998) and holds a DESS in International Taxation from the University of Paris II.
