Jean-Baptiste DUBRULLE, partner at BIGNON LEBRAY law firm, has been elected new president of the Lille Bar

Jean-Baptiste DUBRULLE, partner, was elected Tuesday, November 21, new president of the Lille Bar for a period of two years. His mandate will start as of January 1, 2019, when he takes over after serving as the “dauphin” of Stéphane DHONTE, the current president.

Jean-Baptiste DUBRULLE, 40 years old, has been a member of the Lille Bar since 2008. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Environmental Law and a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning and Coastal Law in 2001. In December 2006, he obtained a Doctorate in public law. Jean-Baptiste joined Bignon Lebray’s department of public law, PPP and environmental law in January 2009 and is now in charge of environmental issues.

As a partner since 2016, he has been active in urban planning, environmental law and law of local authorities and holds a certificate in public law with an emphasis in urban planning. He assists local authorities, public institutions, operators of classified facilities for the protection of the environment, both in regard to environmental matters and urban planning.

The function of the president of the Bar consists not only in representing lawyers of the Bar in the civil society as the guarantor of a strict ethical line, but also in administering the Bar Association, and settling disputes among lawyers or which oppose attorneys with magistrates or their clients..

Three former presidents of the Lille Bar are currently part or were part of Bignon Lebray law firm: Denis LEQUAI (1999-2000), Thomas BUFFIN (2001 to 2002) and Bertrand DEBOSQUE (2007 to 2008).
