Sébastien Pinot, Partner, elected member of the Executive Board
At the end of the General Meeting of June 19, 2020, Sébastien Pinot was appointed by the partners of Bignon Lebray Law Firm as a new member of the Executive Board for a three-year term.
Sébastien Pinot, 42, began his career as a lawyer in 2004 at Bignon Lebray. In 2006, he joined the Project Financing / Public Law department of Linklaters, before joining Bignon Lebray again in 2010 to create the Public Law and Environment Law department of the Paris office and being appointed Partner of the firm in 2012.
More particularly, he has developed his activity as an advisor and a litigator in the areas of public contracts (public procurement and state-owned property), state aid, urban planning and the environment, as well as in advising on the public law and regulatory aspects of project financing, mergers and acquisitions / privatizations and public sector financing transactions. Sébastien’s practice focuses in particular on the sectors of energy, transport, health, social and intermediate housing and new technologies.
A graduate of the Institut Supérieur d’Interprétation et de Traduction and of the School of Public & Environmental Affairs at Indiana University (USA), Sébastien is one of the referring partners for Bignon Lebray within Meritas, our international network of law firms especially since his practice is significantly encompassed by international aspects.
Sébastien Pinot has taken over after Laurence Defontaine, who had been a member of the Executive Board since 2017 and whose term of office was coming to an end. He will be responsible for the firm’s management and strategy alongside Thomas Buffin and Jacques Goyet.
