Bignon Lebray and August Debouzy on the projected acquisition of Billetreduc.com by Fnac Darty group

Bignon Lebray and August Debouzy are respectively advising Fnac Darty Group and Lagardère Group, as part of exclusive negotiations regarding a proposed acquisition of Billetreduc.com by France Billet (subsidiary of Fnac Darty Group) specializing in cultural ticketing and leisure activities.

France Billet, a major player on the French ticketing market through a multichannel and multiband distribution network established on the whole territory, would make available with this acquisition, a wider and diversified ticket offer to strengthen its action in favor of cultural diversity, the discovery of new talents and make culture accessible for all audiences.

Billetreduc.com, a prominent French distributor of “last minute” event tickets, would bring to France Billet a complementary offer to the growing market of last minute tickets, thus enabling the latter to capture a new audience and strengthen its attractiveness to event organizers. With 2 million customers and nearly € 8 million in revenue, its online platform is a benchmark in the theater segment and garners more than 140,000 reviews a year.

Enrique Martinez, Managing Director of Fnac Darty, has said: “With this acquisition, Fnac Darty would give France Billet the means to diversify and strengthen its ticketing offers on the whole French territory, in a changing market. Ticketing is at the heart of our business and we want to strengthen our cultural role as a reference territorial player.”

The objective of Fnac Darty is to finalize the transaction during the first quarter of 2019.
