Christophe Fichet is a Partner in Digital Infrastructures, Data Privacy & Cybersecurity at Bignon Lebray.

He has developed leading sector experience in both active and passive IT infrastructures and services dedicated to electronic communications in France, as well as throughout the Middle East and Africa. His clients have included leading international operators, advisory and investment banks, and international funds like the World Bank. He also advises governments and regulation authorities on the implementation of regulatory frameworks, licensing and privatization processes in several countries.

In addition, Christophe’s practice includes advising major technology companies as well as clients in the life sciences, banking and finance industries on the use of digital technologies. He assists companies on the complex challenges that come with transitioning to digital platforms, and has advised on matters relating to data processing, management systems, digital monetization and transfer, digitalization of processes, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and blockchain.

Over the past twenty years, Christophe has developed leading sector experience in France and the EMEA region in the areas of active infrastructures (wireline, fiber, wireless, satellite, sub-marine cables, HAPS), passive infrastructures (towers, data centers) and digital services (electronic communications, online communication, content, etc.), technology, data (personal data, and data hosting, sharing and exploitation), cybersecurity (prevention and incident response plans), artificial intelligence, blockchain, metaverses, and New Space.

He shares this expertise with clients in the TMT, private equity and infrastructure fund sectors, as well as stakeholders in pharmaceuticals, banking/finance, distribution, aeronautics and space, and transportation, and more generally with companies in the industrial and service sectors.

Christophe also assist on behalf of international donors, governments and regulatory authorities to (i) implement legal and regulatory frameworks adapted to technological developments, (ii) to obtain relevant licenses, permits and authorizations, (iii) to set up public[1]private partnership projects, network and service deployments and (iv) resolve disputes between private stakeholders or between these stakeholders and States.

Christophe is a lecturer on electronic communications contacts on the Masters in Space and Telecommunications Law at the University of Paris Saclay, and Masters in Digital Law at the University of Rennes 1, as well as at the Institute of Health Law at the University of Paris Descartes. Recently, he also spoke at EMLyon on cybersecurity. He is the author of numerous articles and a frequent speaker at conferences across Europe and Africa.
